Supports virtually all ultra-high sampling master recording formats available on the market, including CD-quality formats (FLAC, WAV, APE) as well as DSD512 (.dsf/.dff/.iso/.dst) in both stereo and multichannel.
Equipped with the self-developed EOS (Eversolo Original Sampling-Rate Audio Engine), it ensures output at native sampling rates. This means audio playback completely bypasses Android’s SRC limitations, enabling true direct audio passthrough for third-party apps such as Apple Music Hi-Res Direct Output.

The EVERSOLO DMP-A8 can function as a digital transport, connecting to high-end DACs via HDMI IIS, USB, optical, and coaxial outputs. As a DAC, it supports a wide range of digital inputs, including 2 coaxial, 2 optical, and USB-B for seamless connection with PCs and mobile devices.
As a high-performance preamplifier, the DMP-A8 offers both XLR and RCA analog inputs, while also supporting aptX HD Bluetooth audio input for convenient wireless streaming from various digital sources.

An M.2 NVMe SSD slot is integrated at the bottom of the DMP-A8, allowing for easy installation without disassembling the device. It supports SSDs up to 4 TB, delivering faster speed, silent operation, and stable storage for high-quality local music. Additionally, external storage devices can be connected via the USB OTG port.
To ensure maximum sound purity, the DMP-A8 employs independent power supply designs for the system circuit and the audio circuit. The linear power supply, built around a custom-designed multi-winding toroidal transformer, is optimized for analog audio circuits. Meanwhile, the high-quality switching power supply is dedicated to the system circuit, reducing ripple and magnetic leakage interference for reliable high-end audio performance. A patented smart switching technology further enhances the linear power supply by enabling global voltage compatibility—no manual switch required.
At its core, the DMP-A8 is powered by the 3rd-generation XMOS XU316 audio processor, delivering faster speed and greater USB bandwidth to ensure the lossless transmission of high-definition audio. The Eversolo DMP-A8 features VELVET SOUND | VERITA, AKM’s flagship series embodying the philosophy of “perfect re-creation of the original sound.” This advanced DAC technology ensures a natural, immersive, and highly detailed listening experience with world-class performance.
For superior digital-to-analog conversion accuracy, the DMP-A8 employs two ultra-low phase noise femtosecond clocks (45.1584 MHz and 49.152 MHz), precisely matching the 44.1kHz and 48kHz sampling rate families. This effectively suppresses jitter, ensuring exceptional resolution, dynamic range, and faithful reproduction of studio-level sound details.
Completing its design, the DMP-A8 integrates a high-performance fully balanced preamplifier, supporting both XLR and RCA analog inputs. With a +10 dB analog gain and an R2R analog volume control network, it delivers ultra-low noise and distortion, ensuring transparent and powerful output.
HDMI - IIS OUTPUT & HDMI EARC
The DMP-A8 features an IIS output, enabling direct connection to DACs equipped with IIS input. Since the mute levels of IIS signals may differ across DAC models, the MUTE PIN can be adjusted via the settings menu for compatibility. The IIS interface supports PCM up to 768 kHz and DSD up to DSD512, ensuring the highest sampling rate performance.
In addition, the DMP-A8 is equipped with an HDMI ARC (Audio Return Channel) input. This allows seamless connection to display devices such as TVs and projectors with ARC capability. By separating and transmitting the audio signal from the HDMI stream to the DMP-A8, it delivers significantly improved sound quality for TV playback.
The DAC setting of the DMP-A8 provides six digital filters, with different modes corresponding to different sound characteristics, to meet manifold personal preferences.
A wide range of personalised dynamic VU meters and spectrums are tailored for audiophiles. A wonderful interactive experience is offered with real-time full-format music display, including DSD.

POWERFUL TRUE DSP & QUALCOMM MODULE
The EVERSOLO DMP-A8 features a powerful DSP processor that provides advanced audio control functions, including DSP volume control, PEQ, FIR filter, HPF/LPF, loudness enhancement, compressor, and delay.
Note: The DSP module supports up to PCM 192 kHz. PCM and DSD formats with higher sampling rates will bypass DSP processing. DSP functions apply only to the internal player, network streaming, optical input, coaxial input, USB input, Bluetooth input, and ARC input, and are effective exclusively when using analog outputs.
For wireless connectivity, the DMP-A8 integrates the Qualcomm QCC5125 Bluetooth audio receiving module, supporting SBC, AAC, aptX, aptX LL, aptX HD, and LDAC, and is fully compatible with Bluetooth 5.0. This enables seamless pairing with smartphones, tablets, and laptops, delivering a high-quality wireless playback experience with CD-level sound performance.
WIRELESS MUSIC STREMAING & LIBRARY
The DMP-A8 integrates popular music services such as TIDAL, Qobuz, HIRESAUDIO, Deezer, Radio Paradise, Amazon Music, and more. By taking advantage of numerous high-quality online platforms, it allows users to experience the allure of limitless streaming music. As a music streamer, the DMP-A8 supports TIDAL Connect, DLNA, and other streaming protocols, enabling seamless playback from music apps on mobile devices within the same LAN—delivering massive online music libraries with convenient access and excellent lossless sound quality.
The Eversolo Music Library enhances both playback performance and music management. Users can import music files from a local hard drive or network storage, while the system automatically retrieves metadata from the cloud to create a personalized music library. This includes matching artists, album covers, CUE files, and more (note: 100% accuracy cannot be guaranteed due to reliance on third-party databases). Songs are neatly categorized by genre, album, artist, and sample rate, with options to create favorites lists and search by album, artist, or song initials.
For storage and connectivity, the DMP-A8 offers two high-speed USB 3.0 ports, an SSD slot for local expansion, and support for NFS, SMB v1/v2/v3, and UPnP sharing protocols. Users can easily browse and play multimedia content stored on NAS or network drives within the same LAN via the gigabit network interface. Even high data rate DSD512 master recordings can be streamed smoothly, without stutter or interruption
SMART CONTROL APP WITH CD PLAYBACK & RIPPING
The DMP-A8 offers a robust media management system, allowing users to copy, paste, cut, and delete files from both local storage and network drives. Its USB Type-C port supports USB OTG mode, enabling direct connection to a PC for seamless file transfer and management. With SMB sharing, audio files stored on an internal SSD or mobile device can be shared across other playback devices, computers, or mobile devices within the LAN—effectively turning the DMP-A8 into a network storage device for instant audio source sharing.
The DMP-A8 also supports CD playback when paired with an external USB optical drive. Its CD Rip app employs data validation and error correction to ensure lossless audio extraction. It automatically recognizes CD album and track information (for officially released CDs), organizes metadata, and saves tracks with accurate album and artist details.
For convenient operation, dedicated Android/iOS control apps have been developed. Beyond playback and system settings, the app provides asynchronous access to the music library, applications, and menus. Built-in streaming services can be browsed and played directly from the app, ensuring effortless control and music management. Additionally, the DMP-A8 includes an infrared/Bluetooth dual-mode remote control for flexible operation.
Practical system integration features include a Trigger output, which powers on or places the connected amplifier into standby automatically—eliminating the need for manual switching. WOL (Wake on LAN) is also supported for remote powering on/off (wired network connection required).
Finally, the DAC section of the DMP-A8 offers six digital filter modes, each tailored to deliver unique sonic characteristics, allowing users to fine-tune playback to their personal preferences.
